What it is: The largest of our pedal-fit metrics, Stance Width is the distance between the center of one pedal to the center of the other pedal. Think of this as the stance you have on the bike—the distance between your feet.
Why it matters: This is the most important interface of your body and the bicycle. It is the connection point where you can transfer power from your legs into the crank and ultimately provide propulsion. Proper Stance Width is very rider dependent, but it is critical to efficient power transfer, comfort, and injury prevention.
How TIME Pedals help you: TIME Pedals help you to adjust your Stance Width through the pedal (please refer to Pedal Center below for more details). TIME’s spindle widths come in narrow, standard, or wide (51, 53, 57mm).
*Pedal Center (also called Spindle Length) is the distance from the edge of the crankarm to the center of the pedal.
