Release angle refers to the angle you must twist your foot (measured from the bike) to unclip your cleats from the pedals.
TIME's ATAC cleats (utilized with our MTB or LINK pedals) are available in "ATAC Easy" with a beginner-friendly 10° release angle or standard ATAC with a 13° or 17° release angle, depending on the orientation the cleats are installed on your shoes. TIME's road cleat system, ICLIC, features a 16° release angle when using the standard ICLIC free cleat and 17° when using the fixed cleat.
